Though the Newman Gallery for Contemporary Art is by all measures a smashing success, Director Sabrina Costelana-Newman is still seen less as an art world visionary than as a cold-blooded opportunist who will stop at nothing to gain power, fame and prestige. Adrian Korbel reports from Genoa City...
With her willowy figure and graceful bearing, glamorous Sabrina Costelana-Newman is tailor-made for the competitive, cutthroat art world. Elegant, approachable and insatiably curious, she's the perfect addition to any social occasion, be it an afternoon barbecue in Bridgehampton or a black-tie affair in Basel, Switzerland.
Her ability to "travel well" is no small matter in a frantically-social, ever shifting business where alliances can be forged over cocktails, expanded over the entree and severed abruptly by desert. More than one artworld wag says the new Mrs. Newman owes her success more to her ability to spot, cultivate and exploit important people than her ability to spot, cultivate and support artists. Word on the street is that in addition to jetting across the globe, Costelana-Newman has also been around the block more than once.
"Look, Sabrina got herself a rich husband and with him, the resources to continue her quest to become the most powerful woman in the art world. And if Victor Newman's billions won't travel to the artists, I guarantee you, the artists will be happy to travel to Genoa City and Victor Newman's billions. Artists love money as much, if not more, than the next person. That old "starving artist" cliche went out with Andy Warhol in the 70s," a friend observes.
"I adore Sabrina," she continues, "but you don't think for a minute that she got this fancy art institute opened here because world-famous artists are dying to show in Genoa City do you? I mean, c'mon."

In Costelana-Newman's case, the "starving curator" cliche is just as shopworn, say friends. Unwilling to be quoted by name, for fear of offending her notoriously prickly new husband, more than Costelana-Newman herself, more than a few "friends" and art world figures characterize her as a tenacious, savvy survivor, more than willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead.
And it's that raw ambition, that has tongues wagging from Main Street to the Champs Elysee, where she is characterized as the art world's answer to Anna Nicole Smith; common in every aspect but her beauty and ambition. It's not an entirely fair comparison, for while Costelana-Newman may be seen as an opportunist, she is hardly given to the kind of public displays and clueless utterances Ms. Smith was. Still...
"Without me, she wouldn't even be a receptionist in an art gallery, she'd be a shopgirl in a store across the street from a gallery," says Phillippe Chanderot of the woman who curated his mid-career retrospective at Paris's famed Pompidou Center last year.
At the time, rumors flew fast and furious that Costelanawas more interested in Chanderot's other talents than she was in his painting. As one collector put it "Most artists have to wait until they've got one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel to get a one-person retrospective at a major museum like the Pompidou, and this guy gets one at what - 30? I'm sorry, but something was definitely not adding up there. Then you look at the two of them and you get it."
Chanderot himself openly admits to mixing business with pleasure with Costelana-Newman, and says she benefited as much, if not more, from the association.
To hear Chanderot tell it, the directors of Pompidou were so eager to get him into the museum that they were willing to allow a virtual unknown to pull the show together.
"Victor Newman is merely the latest Sabrina conquest," one in a series of carefully-calculated social and romantic dalliances, claims Chanderot, which she uses to further her career and consolidate power. Except that in his case, he claims, Costelana-Newman's calculations backfired.

"She started off by seducing me because she wanted to get me for the Pompidou and take the credit," he claims adding that it's he and not Newman, who holds the key to Costelana-Newman's heart. "And she became obsessed with me. She still is, and how can I say 'no' to someone as beautiful as that? Why would I let what is so clearly a marriage of convenience get in the way of a grand passion?"
And the fact that Costelana-Newman and Chanderot still see each other, along with several other faux pas, figures prominently in her strained relationship with Victoria Newman with whom she's hosted some of Genoa City's most entertaining get-togethers as well as important gala evenings.
Costelana-Newman's former best friend, Victoria Newman is, of course, the daughter of Victor Newman.
The road from the front gate of the estate the new Mrs. Sabrina Costelana-Newman shares with her considerably-older husband is approximately one quarter of a mile. She opens the front door and greets a guest warmly. "So glad you could come!" she exclaims, as she guides the visitor to the enormous sitting room to the left of the entrance hall.
While certainly expensively-furnished, the room with its ornate, period furnishings is not one you would expect a young, cutting-edge art curator/collector to receive guests in and in fact, it's not Costelana-Newmans' first choice, either.
Her husband, whom she married a month ago in a lavish affair that tied up not only Genoa City street traffic but also air traffic has lived in the house for many decades. "I'm hoping that once Victor trusts my taste, he'll allow me to re-decorate," she explains. "Nothing too extensive, just clean it up visually, brighten up the rooms, like that."
"And maybe add some new artists to the collection," she laughs. "I mean, John Singer Sargent is wonderful, as is Renoir, as is, well, okay, Frederick Remington wouldn't be my first choice, but nonetheless..." her voice trails off. After a few seconds, she brightens to say "There just so much exciting stuff that's been happening in art for the past thirty, but particularly the past twenty years."
Would she include any work by Phillippe Chanderot in the art update of her new home?
Costelana-Newman takes a deep breath. "Perhaps," she says slowly, choosing her words carefully. "If the work was appropriate and Victor liked it."
She seems aware that Chanderot is a hot topic and that his public pronouncements have done little to assuage the damage to her reputation. In an interview with Paris Match that was quoted in New York's Page Six, Chanderot said of their affair "I was involved with someone else at the time she approached me with the idea for a one-man show. You can guess what happened. I wasn't about to let that opportunity pass."

When this is mentioned to Newman, she momentarily flinches, then regains her composure. "Another compelling reason not to read the tabloids. Philippe said that?" She takes a deep breath. "Nice... Look, I realize he has detractors, but I truly believed in him as an artist."
The past tense is notable, especially when Newman is confronted with his statement, claiming that he is the "love of her life" something Newman's estranged friend Victoria has confirmed to friends as well.
Victoria Newman is reported to have told friends repeatedly that she was certain her father knew nothing about Sabrina's relationship with Chanderot, and would have canceled the wedding had he known the two have continued to meet in Genoa City.
A social observer, an intimate of the Newman clan said of the situation "It's messy to say the very least. Think of it; Victoria can't ever be certain that Sabrina didn't befriend her in the first place to get to her father. And she can't be happy that her father, one of the world's richest and most eligible bachelors couldn't cast his net a bit wider in the search for a wife - perhaps one who doesn't cheat on him with old beaus the first chance she gets. Meanwhile, how secure can Sabrina possibly feel knowing that her stepdaughter has all of her secrets? It's a soap opera, that's for sure. And who can be sure that Sabrina won't decide at some point that she's tired of being married to someone old enough to be her grandfather?"
One thing is certain; despite the faltering economy, the art business, with all its intrigue, duplicity and backbiting remains red-hot and Genoa City's piece of that action is about to get a lot hotter.

Chloe...no-ee. I hate the way soaps set up a good plot and then ruin it by giving the viewers too much info ahead of the real plot...i.e. Chloe knowing she was preggers a few episodes before trapping a drunken Cane in the car. Is it just me, or does Cane's killer looks at Chloe makes anybody else weak in the knees? Betcha 10-1 Nikki gets in the way in Mexico and gets shot...WHOOP! WHOOP! Instant Victor/Nikki reunion brewing!!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought giving Cloe Lilly's ring was so stupid on Cane's part. He should have gone and bought the smallest diamond chip of a ring and give that to her, since he feels he has to. He and Lilly need to be together! Daniel & Amber need to be together! I love the chemistry between Adam & Heather. So hot!!
Wow! So much has happened within the last week! Devon has a sister, who is about to find out the truth, Cane is gonna marry Chloe...I don't know if I can even stand to watch the show anymore!

Now I hope that Jills little talk with Cane hit the spot because Jill was right,right,right. For one Cane does not love Chloe so their marriage will never be right and in the long run all it does it hurt the child. A child would be able to tell that Cane does not love his mother and that is not a good thing. I must admit Jill was upfront,honest and truthful in what she said to Cane.Two married people cannot live separte and expect to be happy.Life is nothing if one is unhappy.This is one time that you will have to pay the cost to be the boss.Cane you cannot put the baby in your room tonight and in Chloes room the next night. I love Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe). She's really good at making everyone hate Chloe. I think she's a great actress. It would be really interesting if during Lily's stint as a model, she captures the attention of a psychotic stalker who is somehow connected to Lily's mother Dru,(holding her against her will perhaps). That would snap Caine back into reality and trigger his protective instincts. ...is Sabrina back yet???

1st I am a #1 fan of Y & R since I was little watched growing up with grandma and grandpa. Daniel and Amber need to get back together, Colleen is cool, but do not care for her only when she tells Chole off. Cane is hot and needs to get back with Lilly and the fact he listened to Lilly to ask Chole to marry him was one thing, but to give her Lilly's ring that was BS. As far as Jill wanted to throw Cane and Chole an engagement party Cane should not take the job as CEO then, Jill really wants the CEO sit anyway, plus Mrs. Chancler does not really like the idea of Cane as CEO. I hope Victor and Nikie can get together again one day. I love Victor he is the DON of the Y & R. Nick and Phillis are just a weird couple to me. I liked Nick and Sharon together. I do not like the fact Noah grew overnight. I feel bad for the boy that was playing the part he is now out of a job same thing with Summer. Devon has a right to be mad about not knowing he had a sister, but should just be happy Tara raised her since his mother was unfit.
When Lily was pregnant, Caine asked her to marry him. She refused, getting on her soap box and claiming that he would be only marrying her because she was pregnant.
Isn't it strange now that Chloe is pregnant, Lily wants Caine to marry Chloe claiming that he would be giving their baby a chance at a real family. Does anyone see anything with this picture?

After watching today's episode, I am beginning to realize one thing. I think Caine secretly loves Chloe but doesn't want to face it. I also think that Lily doesn't love Caine as much as she thought. She gave up on him to easy. I guess that was easy for her to do because she is so spoiled and everything has to go her way. Sort of my way or the highway.
I also think that Caine is going to be forever miserable if he marries Chloe at Lily's insistence. I feel Lily can do better. Any man that gets so drunk out of his mind that another person can take advantage of him is not good husband material. Lily should be happy she got out of this relationship. First Daniel and now Caine. They are total Losers. I think she can do better.
As far as Victor Newman is concerned. I'm happy he found Walter, but I hope he doesn't take the law into his own hands. That would be a big mistake. Kudos to Victoria for running Newman Enterprises. I hope they get rid of Adam soon. I still feel he has an agenda.
I love Y&R and DVR it every day (can't always watch in real time with three little girls running around!) But I absolutely HATE what they are doing to Cane and Lilly--can't they just let them be happy? And since when can you determine paternity by taking a blood sample from the mother and not the baby?!? If I were Cane, I would've called up my 'Bloke' and asked him about the evening and now I'd be talking with the doctor to see how far along Chloe really is, etc. She is an absolute psycho and I can't wait until her lies are found out (because we all know they will!). I can understand Lilly being hurt and upset but for her to tell Cane he has to marry Chloe is ridiculous--we aren't in the 1950s anymore! As morally irresponsible as it is, people have babies together and don't get married. Mrs. Chancellor is right and I hope she talks some sense into her grandson. I read some posts on the Y&R online community and people are saying that Billy is coming back and that he is probably the father since Cane's test result said his sample was in the 'DNA matching pool' (or something like that). Since they are both Jill's sons, that would make sense that their DNAs are similar. And we all know that Chloe already knew she was pregnant before she took advantage of a passed-out drunk Cane and staged their wild night. What a storyline that would be with Billy as Chloe's "booty call" baby daddy! :) At least it would get Lilly and Cane back together and make Devon and Neil eat their mean words to Cane!!
I have only been watching Y&R on the reg. for about three years my wife got me hooked to it but what i dont get is how come this thing with cane,lily,& cloe is still going on everyone knows that she will do anything to get cane and to have lily just except this letter saying that cane is (NOT EXCLUDED AS THE FATHER!!!!) that means he still may not be the father people i know lily is a smarter girl than this so why is she just walking away i know this is the soaps but come on most women would at least stick around to make sure....I just dont want to see this play out the way i think it will (lily will find out the truth but it will be to late and cane will not take her back because she would not beleave him or this is the twist cloe dies while giving birth and know one will ever know what really went down) please dont let this happen I think lily and cane are perfect together and they are the ones to be married. cloe needs a visit from someone out of town who knows how she is and put it all out there or better yet let the real baby daddy show up.
I also am a fan of Raya Meddine, I also agree they need to bring her back. I'm hoping she isn't really dead. They could easily bring her back by making it look like Victor had a bad nightmare.
I don't like Chloe at all. She grates on my last nerve. I liked her better as part of BAM.
I am going to miss Sabrina. She had alot of class. I find that Adams character is awesome. I love the drama that he causes. Please keep the suspense coming.

My comment is on Victoria Newman, If I had an executive that could not face the competition in the eye I would get rid of them. She is a spineless jellyfish that needs to get some umph. Time and time again she always plays the victim or rides on the tails of other people. Her father had more confidence in her than she had in herself. Now, the last Victoria on the show she would have gave Adam a run for his money at the company but his Victoria laid down and surrendered as the corporate world expects women to. Thanks, Great role model Victoria(lol).
As for Lily Winters , you wrote her character to lay down and not fight. There is not a woman in this world that would tell a man who bought her a house and gave her a antique engagement "diamond" ring to go and give it to another woman. Come on Y&R give us a little credit.Her father needs to stay out of it and that adopted brother wanted to get with her and that is why he did not like her boyfriend.
Okay I know that Cane could not do what that crazy psycho Chole said he did he would never,ever make out with her drunk or not., This is in possible for her to do anything with a man that is pass out drunk. You guys really mess-up this time. You don't think we can belive that scene. I still mad about you breaking up Lily and Cane. Lily is wonderful young lady she is smart and adoreable why should she go threw this. If I were lily I would push Chole out a window or something. Lily has way more class then that. Now now everybody wants Sabrina to come back but that is not going to happen.I liked Sabrina I thought she was cool but on the other hand I knew that Victor and Nikki were going to get back together some kind of way so I knew that Sabrinas part was going to short lived.But I think that David should come back and David should be held accountable and stand trial for everything that he did to the people in G.C. starting with Dru.But I know that I am not going to see that happen.

Please DO NOT bring Sabrina back, too much drama with a young woman the age of your daughter marrying your father! And please do somethng more positive with Adam. I have been watching Y&R far too long. Victor would not treat Nick and Victoria as he has been over the past several months, no matter how much he loves a woman his daughgter's age or found a son that he has had for years, he would never treat Nick & Victoria as rooten as he has been. Yes, Nick & Victoria did treat Sabrina with negative vibes, but who can blame them. Also when he replaced Victoria's project by putting Adam in as her replacement, was just too much for me! I stopped the watching for about 3 months, but now back at this! Come on, let's restore some of the human side to Victor!
I think Cane needs a little competition. I think a new sexy hunk needs to be added to stir things up a bit. And a new sexy woman. Lily is just not woman enough for Cane - she's a kid. I was very exicted when I heard about Victors new son coming to town but gosh that was a let down!!! Ok ok ok this is what happened.At the gala Vicky and Sabrina had words and Sabrina got angry and walked away.When Sabrina went outside David was standing outside waiting for the limo.Sabrina asked David to take her home because she did not feel well, David hestatied and said ok.When the limo driver got out of the car to open the door for them David told the limo driver to stop at the Newman ranch.Sabrina received a telephone call from Victor.Victor was in the house with Phillip and micheal.The accident occurred.Victor and Micheal came to the site,Victor throught that Nikki was in the car with David but Michale said to Victor that Nikki was already in the hospital.Victor asked David who was half dead who was in the car and his last breath and words was Sabrina.Now I dont think that Sabrina had anything to do with David Chow.It seemed to me that the limo driver could have jumped out the car when he seen the other car coming head on.Now did anybody see what I saw?
I am very sad about Sabrina leaving the show. I said I would not watch Y&R anymore. Sabrina brought a real affect to the show. Her whole being was beautiful. I love her wisdom with Victor and yet she remain strong with family members that were against her. It is just hard to watch this because of the sadness of her being gone. I agree with everybody else please find a way to bring her back to Victor, and not as a ghost. Allow it to be a mistake of them pronouncing her dead. Y&R needs her charisma on the show. Until then, I can't watch Y&R. Come back Sabrina.

Ok.....Nikki didnt change her name to Chow. I am not sure if this has been clarified yet, but the limo driver thought he had Chow and Nikki. They wanted David to kill Nikki and he wouldnt and so it was arranged. That limo was supposed to kill David and Nikki.

SOOOOO heartbroken that Sabrina is gone. This is the first time in ages that I have actually cried for a soap character. Sabrina made Victor human. He was joyous around her. The ranch house was filled with love. For once. After years and years of the tired story of Victor and Nikki, the character of Sabrina breathed fresh air into Y&R. Sabrina's liver was damaged. She needed a new one. Living donor anyone? It's done all the time. Donor gives part of liver and the liver grows for both donor and recipient. Everyone was against Sabrina, everyone but Victor. Wouldnt' it have been wonderful to have everyone in the storyline volunteer to be tissue typed - and have Jack turn out to be the donor? Oodles of story for years to come out of that one alone.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but for once, bring a character back from the dead and leave her alone!
I agree with the post from Erika. Some very good points made. I can't wait to see how this all plays out. I myself wondered why the driver of the limo called Sabrina Mrs. Newman. So he knew it wasn't David Chow's wife. The limo driver was the same one that was talking to Walter earlier. He probably called him on his cell phone to say he had them both. Food for thought. Now knowing all of this Victor Newman needs to come back and take care of business.
He needs to restore Victoria and Nicholas back to his will. Adam is turning into a dark knight. He is getting very scary. I feel that Nicholas will take the wind out of his sails. He will not get very far.

Is it just me, or is "Adam" getting creepy. Ok, we all know that David was a hitman. I would like to think just a little out of the box. I believe that Victor was the target in all of this since day one. The plan was to divide the Newman family and go after them one at a time. David worked his way up to Nikki. Sabrina met Victoria (while she was living broken hearted) in Italy. Now Sabrina comes back into Vicky's life because she wants "to be there for her", she said.
David has used a woman before to help get a job done. Remember the way he went after Dru..... Lets say that Sabrina worked for David. Having already befriend Vicky, all she had to do was show up for her in her time of need. But her sights are really set on, to get Victor. We all know Victor's taste in women. Sabrina is perfect for the job, and she is a "COOL DRINK OF WATER". The third person in this plot is Victor Newman Jr. (ADAM) A young man that no one has seen since he has become an adult. Not even his mother.......Hope. Nick's plane goes down and everyone thinks he is dead. Victor leaves town because he hears from Hope that their son Victor Jr. is missing. He can't lose both of his sons....he saids. But, he is also leaving Nikki in the hands of David. When Victor comes back he states he didn't find him......if I remember correctly. David has Nikki eating out of the palm of his hand by this time. Nick is found alive. They also said that the plane crash was not an accident. The next thing to happen, Victoria walks out of a building that has fallen down around her to get hit in the head with a rock falling from it. Sabrina's doorway. Hope get sick and dies, Adam's doorway. Adams comes to town. Victoria wakes up from a coma and wants her best friend. Sabrina comes to town, now everybody is in place. Victor turns his back on Nikki because of David. Sabrina goes after Victor. An angry Victoria turns her back on Sabrina. In support of his sister and mother Nick sides with them against his father. Adam being in the picture dows not help matters. Victor turns his back on his two oldest children and writes them out of his will. Adam waiting in the wings steps up to the plate. Now I could be wrong about a lot or all of this, but the thing that make me think that I might be right some of it is that last night, when Sabrina got into the car with David, the driver called her Mrs. Newman. So he knew she was not Nikki. Then he said into his cellphone, and said, "I have them both". They had to go because they were no longer part of the team.
:( Adam ! You have disappointed me! I liked him at first but now he's starting to turn into another Victor... Heather, he's found his path and I no longer think you should be his traveling buddy. Move on!!!! I thought it was funny how Victor burried his phone and stuff at Sabrina's grave.
Surprising, Michael's dad is still on the loose. I also think it's fun to watch as there's a big conrtoversy over Jabot's CEO, and yet Gloria and her buddy are about to buy them out. I bet that Brad and Jack buy out Nick and Phyllis...and then Vicky, Nick, Phyllis, and Nikki will make their own magazine together.

I'm sorry Sabrina is off the show in this manner.I was beginning to like her.Victor is just as much to blame as Nicky for what happened to Sabrina.He has made a terrible mistake by trusting Adam.It's sad what he did to Nick and Victoria.I hope that Neil doesn't allow to Adam to be in charge of Newman Enterprises.He's not trustworthy.I hope Nick belts him one.He needs it.As far as Dru is concerned,I anticipate her return.I never did like her.Shes a real trouble maker.Sharon and Dru are two of a kind.Gloria needs to give her husband walking papers after she gets the cream he still has and gets rid of it.And finds a way to get her money back.Hopefully she is smarter and out smarts Jeff.
I have watched Y&R since it's conception. Things are getting out of hand...as it always does in Genoa City! I think the Sabrina/Victor relationship was sweet however, not believable. Come one folks, Victor is SMART and falls in love easily but he will always love his one and only Nikki! Victor may have fallen for this very real and seemingly sensative character however, all of his reactions to Adam, Victoria, Nick & Nikki are totally out of his true character. This marriage was a total rebound thing and Nikki & Victor will get back together again. By the way, what ever happened to Christine (Cricket) she just left the show with no warning and also now what happened to Paul's new unseen relationship with the cop chick? I Tevo this show daily and haven't missed much.....
I also was very upset when I found out that Sabrina was killed off. After I thought about it a while, I came to believe that maybe she really isn't dead. I know that this could be wishful thinking on my part but here's why. Y&R has always had such a distinguished, talented cast. The writers are the best in the industry and the whole crew has really got it together. They know how to do daytime drama better than anyone. All this sets them apart from other soaps. It's no wonder they have been #1 for over 1000 consecutive weeks. So, I really can't imagine that they'd let someone like Raya Meddine go. When the limo driver greeted David and Sabrina he addressed her as Mrs. Newman. This could have been the limo that Victor sent to pick up Sabrina, ergo, the hit could have been meant for Victor and Sabrina not David and Nicki. Maybe Victor secretly got wind of this, faked her death and met up with her at a secret location, hence his disappearance. This way sets all the foreseeable drama into place and allows for Raya Meddine to remain a cast member. It's not too far fetched for the writers to come up with a plot like this, is it?? Say no!!
What is going on with the Young & Restless? It's not making any sense. I'm starting to lose interest. I can't make sense of anything that is happening. It's a good story I've been watching for years. I would not miss an episode. It seems like when Sabrina was written out the story went into a tail spin. What's going on????
I definatly think that they shoiuld find a way to bring Sabrina, i think she woould be a good character on the show. I also think to add drama to the show they should make Chloe have a baby that belongs to Cane. And Karen should leave the show, she is so controling, and gets jelous tooo easily. Adam also should stop being such a jerk to everyone. And something should happen with Amber cuz it stupid seeing her sad all the time since Daniel broke up with her. Colleen should meet a new nice guy and like him a lot, and then the guy falls in love with Daniel, that would be twisted.
I think all is said about "Sabrina" leaving the show except for that I have never been so saddened by this show, which I have watched since I was a young girl with the women in my family. Also, I have never been so impacted by it's choices. I consider myself to reflect a large demographic that will "continue" to watch the show for years to come. This choice however is very upsetting. The actress who played Sabrina, forgive me that I don't know her name, appears to have depth and strength (and realism..) unlike many actors on Y&R. And, I think it was a large mistake made by producers to let her go. This soap is about class and sophistication and sets itself apart from other daytime soaps. Big Mistake! Big!

Daniel and Amber made a good couple together, I hope things change for them to get back together and make sure Phyllis can stay out of their business and keep her occuppied with Nick. Sharon is good for Jack and so is Jana and Kevein. Get rid of Collen she's just mad because nobody wants her anymore. Get rid of Karen, so Neil can persue a relationship with Tira and be happy and if Lily don't stop acting childdish, I will be expecting Colwee and Cain to be together to raise the baby. LOL what a trip that will be.
I absolutely loved Sabrina and Victor together and was so refreshed to finally see 2 characters with such amazing chemistry. They made me believe that they were a couple not only on the show but in real life. Nobody misses David Chow. However, Sabrina needed a liver transplant..why couldn't the writers have made David's liver a perfect match for Sabrina and therefore we wouldn't have lost her? That could have started a whole new story of Victor having to accept that David lived on in his beloved Sabrina. I think you need to make this a dream sequence of Sabrina being in a coma and bring her back. Please do this for the fans that have made Y&R so successful for so many years. I am deeply disappointed.
What should happen now Victor have his cermony for Sabrina...Kick Nick, Sharon, Phyllis, and Jack out of his building....Jack publish the pictures of Sabrina ...Sharon leaves Jack...Then the war between The Mustache and Jack is back...Brad, Nikki, Victoria, Phyllis, Sharon, Adam, Nick, and Heather should all get a peace of Victor's wrath...Right now he is Hurricaine Victor...we are in the eye of the storm...Gloria and her hubby should be the next to leave the soaps (if you ask me) the cream should re-surface after Nikki, Lauren and Jana uses it on thier face a last gift from David.
Jana and Kevin should not get married but Jana and Adrian should work on the Gallery together then fall in love with each other.....Which Colleen and Kevin should get together so there can be a double wedding Cane and Lily and Kevin and Colleen.......Bring in new people and write Nate back in ...Nate should come to his cousin wedding bring the perfect gift DRU...Nate and Noah become BFF and Abby comes back as a teen that is battling drugs Victor and her sister and brothers come out to help her ...yeah writers...

Y&R WHY????? Why did you have to kill off Sabrina so quickly? I loved the fact that this woman came into town and went for exactly what she wanted spite everyone elses feelings. I do not agree with the way that Victor was talking to Nikki there is no reason in the world not even a death for a man to talk to a woman like that. Sabrina's death was very shocking, please find a way to bring her back even if it is that she is in the morgue and somehow starts breathing again, just bring her back for us and for victor.
We all knew nobody stays happy too long in Genoa City. But what bothers me is when the limo driver let Sabrina into the limo, he said Mrs. Neumann and indicated on his cell phone that he had both of them. Was the target of the accident David and Nikki or was it Sabrina and Victor? Why would the limo driver say Mrs. Neumann to Sabrina, if we was to have Mr. and Mrs. Chow?
I like Sabrina I just wish she didnt end up with Victor. There were sooooo many other things that she could have done & been on the show. Now that she is gone I would like to see Victor get back with his real family and make peace. Victor Jr is sneeky and shouldnt be trusted. Victor needs to realize that he will not be around for ever and I think he has put his children through enough pain to last a life time. I hope he and Nikki lean on each other and this whole thing works out. I cant believe all the things they are tieing to David Chow and his past... is he responcible for killing everyone on the show!! I think the magazine was a great idea, however I hated to see Sabrina leave. I was beginning to really like her character and it actually made me very sad to see her go as if I knew her for real! Nikki and Victoria act like the world revolves around them and no matter what, they should come first. This is partially why I didn't want Sabrina's character to leave so soon. I know she'll do wonderful wherever she goes from here. She is very bright and beautiful and brought sunshine into Victor's life. Who's idea was it to kill her off the SHOW! ! ??? ! ! Not a good idea.
I am 13 and have been watching Y and R forever. My parents, grandparents, sister, friend, and my dads co-workers are also addicted.
I feel so bad about Sabrina's death (she was a fave)and pray that Victor doesn't hurt himself. I'm still extremely happy for Heather (she's the best!) and am worried for Adam. He's a lil over confident...I think it's cuz he want to impress his dad. I'm glad Skye's out of the picture. Chloe is such a freak-zoid! I'm starting to wish she would've gotten in the car with David instead of Sabrina. Sharon must really love Jack for still sticking with him. Colleen is such an annoying person...I mean, it wasn't Amber's fault that she slept with Korbel. Stupid Phyllis. Go Heather! You da bomb!
I can't believe they killed off Sabrina. She was such a breath of fresh air to this show. I wish Raya all the best. She is a talented beautiful actress. PLEASE dont put Nikki and Victor back together. That storyline is so beat. If anything I would love to see Paul and Nikki together ( again! )OR just bring Sabrina back!
Victor learned finally that HE IS NOT IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING...if he was SABRINA WOULD NOT HAVE DIED. Sometimes, I wonder if Victor even knows that there is a God.
I hope he learns the truth very soon about the wreck and all. I hope he will find love again.

Raya Meddine is an exquisite actress, and her portrayal of Sabrina was my favorite character of Y&R. When I realized she was going to be the intended victim and die, I was so sad. I watched the very first episode of Y&R in 1973 when I was a freshman in college, and now I'm 53. I haven't seen all of the 35 years, but I've seen plenty. I really loved the Sabrina storyline. She is so graceful and elegant. I've never loved Victor's character, but this was the first time he actually appealed to me. The chemistry and honesty between their relationship was so refreshing.

how can they kill off Sabrina?She is one of my Fav. actresses on the show,and just when i really started to get into this show they start to take people off.I think they should have taken Cloe off instead of Sabrina.However they are making the show more,and more interesting,and I sure will keep on watching this show.
It was a heavy episode today. I could really feel Victor's pain. I really wanted to comfort him. Eric Braeden is an incredible actor. I can really feel the pain he is feeling. Only a good actor can make people feel that way.
I couldn't help feeling that Jack was really savoring all the pain Victor was going through. It looked like for a moment that he was really enjoying Victor's suffering. Jack shouldn't feel so self-confident because I think Victor is really going to make him pay for that article he wrote about Sabrina.
As far as Nikki is concerned. The tongue lashing she got from Victor is just what she deserved. Can't wait to see the coming episodes. Things are really starting to heat up.
I think it was a big mistake having Sabrina die. She is a truly talented actress who added so much to the show. I greatly enjoyed watching her as Victor's wife as they made a mesmerizing couple. There is no storyline that you could come up with to replace the Sabrina and Victor love story.
So long Sabrina, sad to see you go but you got to go,Please dont pair Paul and Nikki together, Get rid of Adam already, he is such a pain in the behind, Jack better watch your back , It will be Nick and Victor running the magazine and you out in the cold over this article. I love Y&R and have been watching it since I was in college(20 years). It has great story lines (most of the time) and I like how the show leaves some of the intimacy to our imaginations instead of showing every couple in bed.
As far as Sabrina goes, she is a beautiful actress, not just physically, but the way she carries herself and portrays her character. After seeing her a few times, I told my husband, "She won't be on the show long, because she will be sought after for bigger roles." (I do drag my husband in to watch the show with me when I get a chance, and he will admit that he likes it too).
But, I am really sad and disappointed that she is gone. I looked forward to seeing her. Even if she didn't end up with Victor, I had hoped she would remain a part of the cast. Wherever she goes, I wish her the best.
Also, I am so happy that the show airs in the evenings. I work during the day and look forward to watching my long time friends from Genoa City in the evenings. I can't catch it every day, but manage to stay current.

I hope that the writers will see fit that restless style needs to hang around a bit longer. Hopefully Victor will be haunted by His lovely wife and she wont let him take out his revenge. But we all know victor. This web site was an awesome idea. I almost thought of it myself..lol

I have been watching the Young and the Restless for YEARS. I am 36 and catch it in the evenings and weekends; work permitting. Hence I would like to thank the Y&R team for making 2 very smart business decisions.
1. Catering to the professional by televising the program in the evenings for those of us who work all day; like to unwind and watch a little drama and
2. This actual site is amazing.. I came across it on the internet and am familiar with the "Restless Style" concept in the storyline, but to actually create a site where we can actually read the article about a fictitious character, i.e. Sabrina's article!! This is such a great idea...

I 100% agree with the post by Sandi. I think also it was a big mistake to get rid of Sabrina. I almost vowed I wouldn't watch it again. I am also sick of Nikki and I hope the mistake is not made to put her and Victor back together again. The next thing I'm sick of is Chloe's character. If anything should be gone from the show it's her. Or if she can't be gone at least let her admit she lied about her baby being Caine's. Don't ruin the show. It's a great show. I think some of the characters need to be rethought.
I am a new writer and have just published my first book this year. I have great respect for the writers of The Young & The Restless. It's not an easy thing to write and get the characters to behave in harmony with each other. Some of the characters need to go. Jack needs to get what he deserves. Chloe needs to be found out. Gloria needs to get Jill. Brad needs to be exposed. Can't wait to see the coming episodes.
HHHHHHHHHHHHuuuge mistake to lose Sabrina!! She is one of those very rare soap actors who is truly extra special with very exceptional looks and talent,as are Victor and Michael. I have watched Y&R since the beginning and this loss is one of the writers' greatest mistakes in the 33 years of broadcasting. Sabrina made the whole show absolutely glow. I am so sick of Nikki and her narcissism and snobbery!! Sabrina was a huge breath of very much needed fresh air!!
Oh I forgot to put in my two cents on Adam. Why did they have to bring him to show. I mean there are many kids not being showed why couldn't he stay in the background. I would like to have it come out that Adam is not really Victor's son after all but impostor who took his place and the real son is missing. But Victor finds out the truth. We all know that Hope was the innocent one, the sweet one and she had this son Adam who plays not so nice son. He learned nothing from HOpe if he is truly her son and was raised by her.
I do like Heather and Adam as a couple if he has to stay. Love Gloria and Jeff but geez they are both so shady. The true Newmans-Victoria and Nick they will prevail and Adam will lose what he thinks he is getting alone. I mean come on their still is grandchildren in the pic. I would of loved to have had Sabrina and her daughter? be around.
Please keep Sabrina. I liked her character! She made Victor a different man. If anyone could mend broken fences for the family she could. She was beautiful, kind, passionate. Like nobody on Genoa City hasn't done something wrong! I agree with others get RID of Chloe. Can't stand her. It is hard to believe they have kept her and got rid of Sabrina....come on what is that about. But then maybe they will have someone kill Chloe.
I wish Nikki could know that David I think really loved her but he needed to be gone from the show.
