No matter how often my job brings me here, I never get tired of Paris! It has to be one of the most ridiculously beautiful cities on Earth. If you're a city person, this is one trip you've got to make at some point in your life. (Don't forget to bring money.)
Of course, I always love to take in the museums (I'm still working my way through the Louvre, which is huge) the Picasso and the fabulous Centre Pompidou, but there's more to this city than big, cultural monuments. Paris is a city of tiny, out-of-the-way boutiques and bistros, bookstalls and sweet shops. Here's five places in Paris I never miss...
Colette, 213 rue Saint Honoré - 75001
Paris' hipster outpost. Whether it's a pair of Doc Marten's covered in painted flowers, a limited edition Kangaroo Mirror box by artist Jeff Koons, the latest music mix or the handbag product of a collaboration between (fashion model, singer, and France's current First Lady) Carla Bruni and a South African Township design cooperative, this is the place to go.
Berthillon, 29-31 rue Saint Louis en l'ile - 75004
We all scream for ice cream, or in this case glacé, which is even more rich and sinful. Fortunately, the servings are smaller than what we're used to in America (which may be one reason those French women stay so thin). This is also a perfect excuse to visit the Île Saint-Louis; nestled in the Seine (there are plenty of bridges) it's like a small town in the middle of Paris.
Jean Paul Gaultier, 44 Avenue Georges V - 75008
He's brilliant, but like most smart people, he also has a sense of humor (he made that cone bra Madonna wore way back when). His flagship boutique is no less amusing, and his clothes are exquisite. It's worth a visit even if you can't afford anything (and in this economy, who can?)

They've been in business since 1660. And if you want what has been called "the best tea in the world," (more than 500 varieties) this is the place to go. Cozy and inviting, and there's no better place to escape a chilly winter's day.
BHV (Bazar de l'Hotel de Ville) 52-64 rue du Rivoli, - 75004
Want to see how regular Parisians (i.e. not Catherine Deneuve or Jane Birkin) shop? Check out BHV, which is named for its proximity to the Hotel de Ville, which is Paris' City Hall. Chock full of fabulous housewares, clothing, cosmetics and just about anything you could want, it's like Target on steroids. (This will be our secret.)

Well I must say that maybe Phyllis wouldn't have to work so hard at her marriage if she hadn't been having an affair with Nick to begin with. Phyllis has ALWAYS been a "man"ipulator starting with Danny! She needs to get a hold on her lying annoying little ways. Maybe Sharon has had a bad year but haven't we all? Sorry all but I am still a romantic at heart and believe that first loves are meant to be. With that being said I am rooting for Nick and Sharon!!
I've been watching the young and the restless for many years with my mom, and quiet frankly Sharon needs to pull it together! She keeps getting in the way of Nick and Pyllis! I complete understand why Phyllis has acted the way she has, she is just trying to protect her family and marriage. And honestly I could really call Sharon some bad names, for example how many different men has she slept with over the last few weeks. She needs to grow up that Sharon, Noah is more mature then her. LONG LIVE PYLLIS AND NICK!
I would love to see highlights of the Paris trip. I started watching in Dec'08 but the characters still refer to Paris and it'd be fun to see some of the pivotal scenes of Ashley & Victor, Phyllis & Nick & Sharon, and Noah & Eden. Thanks!
I've been a loyal watcher since I was a young teen, & Phyllis is the sexist lady, & Nicholas the sexist man. Keep them together... Luv them both, they really do much to keep the show together! & Sharon, get a life!
I love Phillis she is one of my favorite characters she's actually the sexiest woman on the show and Nick is the sexiest man. You should keep them together they spark!! I'm so SAD!! to see Brad taken completely out of the show I loved him and loved to hate him too..
Phyllis does not deserve Nick..plain and simple. She is a homewrecker to start, she looks like she could be Nick's mother as well. Sharon trully loves Nick and I believe he trully loves her. Phyllis needs to get whats coming to her I hate the fact that everyone has forgotten that Phyllis is the #1 homewrecker. She acts like if her relationship with Nick has been nothing but pure. Even if Sharon gets Nick back (which i hope)it will just be karma. Plus I am tired of them always having sex its gross already. Especially cause Phyllis looks like an old lady next to Nick. Come on like no one else sees it. Phyllis was switching paternity results when Nick was a toddler. Put Sharon and Nick back together cause she has her daughter to thank for being with Nick. And I still think that little girl is Jacks. He'll finally have a kid when the truth comes out.

I think Phyliss and Nick should stay together..There storyline would be a ongoing one.They make the show interesting along with giving woman ideas how to spice up their own marriage if you know what I mean..I always am looking forward to what is happening between those two..Sharon is good at being a threat to those who are married or are taken by someone..Phyliss and Nick have chemistry and I believe he loves Sharon,Nick just got side tracked...I think I would feel the same way Phyliss does and I might do the same things she has done to keep her husband..

I love Phyllis, I think she is a smart, determined women! I do not like Sharon, I think she needs to leave nick alone. The only thing they should have to talk about is Noah, and that's it, no dinners together and she needs to stop calling on him like he is still her husband. Keep standing your ground Phyllis.

I pray to God that they don't break up Nick and Phyllis. I love them together. I think they have more in common than him and Sharon ever did. Phyllis likes to play video games with him and she is more down to earth than Sharon. Sharon is to snooty and thinks that she is better than Phyllis, when she is just as sneaky if not worse. What is Nick going to think when he finds out that the so called perfect Sharon has kept a huge secret from him. She knows that Jack is the one behind the diary that set up his father.

Well I would just like to say thay I think that Nick and Sharon should get back together. Phylis don't deserve him! I mean seriously phylis needs a man that is just as crazy as her and nick is not that guy. Realy who falls in love again with their sig. other over video games. Sharon and nick are high school sweat hearts and they always have and always will love each other they are like the modern day victor and nikki no matter what happens they always seem to find their way back to one another and remember what they are missing by not having the other person in their life!It is just a matter of time before nick and sharon are back together and Phylis is back in the arms of another man trying to pin the fatherhood on jack to get back at nick! And another thing what is her deal why can she not tell the bio father when she is preggers with the kid vs. waiting and dragging this stuff out and screwing up her kids even more!!! I have been watching these soaps since I was nine ...now 21 so it has been a long time and I can promise you that Phylis will get caught in her lie and lose nick! I agree with Hila... I truly think that Nick and Sharon belong together. They are just so right together. All Phylis and Nick does is have sex. Phylis acts as though she got with Nick and married him the right way, but she fails to realize that what she reap is exactly what she will sow. Sharon do not give Jack another chance please??? Well what can I say... All looks great from my point of wiev...Phyllis is marvelous and I love her from the very first time when she came in this film! I'm from Romania and we are a bit behind with the episodes... we are just at number 3385 so we still have more to come before I see all of the episodes until today.
She talks with so much passion and she makes all laugh in real life and in the film and why do I say real life? Well I think she makes all laugh...I can see it here in this text.
So well done Phyllis and I love you and all of the cast of Y&R AND stuff there! All are great!

to be honest, i love the character of Phyllis, and i love her and Nick together. Even though Phyllis and Nick share a child, i still claim that Summer is Jack's baby, not Nick's.
Also, i (and i'm sure everyone else) knows for a FACT that Chloe's little girl is Billy's. Either way, its a Chancellor. I really hope that Cane and Lily find themselves back with eachother, and back in THEIR house. I did not like the character of chloe at first, but she is starting to grow on me, but i am rooting for Lily all the way.

I loved Phyllis's outfirt she looked so cute and adorable. From the cute feathered hat, to the whole outfit. Phyllis can pull off any outfit. I loved all the beautiful cites it was gorgeous the whole paris episodes were amazing. Y&R did a great job on Paris shooting and Y&R out of the ashes.

I have been on the side of Phyllis for a long time now until recently. I cannot understand why she is sitting on the information that Jack went to Mexico to find out about Victor. If she told Nick about it - the information could help in getting Victor off from the charge of murdering Walter Palen and also proving the diary is a fake.
I feel she is probably feeling that if Sharon finds out Jack's role in all of this she will leave him and go after Nick. Which is probably going to happen anyway, when Nick finds out that Phyllis is sitting on the information that could free Victor. When he finds out and he will find out, Phyllis can kiss him goodbye. The Newman clan is very strong. Nick would never forgive Phyllis for withholding this crucial information.

Everyone is talking about Sharon and Nick kiss in Paris, and Nick and Sharon going back together, but did you look at the fact that Nick isn't even thinking about Sharon. Sharon is the one that is trying Nick, How about this Sharon should take herself to Brad. I can't believe that Victor was dead and had a reading of the will and then he reappeared no Katie having a reading of the will and she is alive, NO MORE READING OF THE WILL. What the Ashley think she is doing? She was just someone to fill that void.
jill so did not like Ms. C's reading of the will. She was not happy when Gloria got the 5% stock in Jabot. Now Cane will loose his job and its not fair to him. I am so glad that Phyllis figured out what Jack has been up to. I just know she is going to use it to her advantage. I am so proud of you Phyllis. I also know that Phyllis may end up using Brad to her advantage knowing that she will use it to keep Sharon away from Nick.

Nick and Sharon are both serial cheaters and deserve each other, it sad that they have to include other people in their sad games to add spice to their lives.

I hope Nick and Phyllis stay together. This "kiss" that Nick and Sharon had was foolish. She is so dull and pitiful. Once upon a time when Sharon and Nick were younger, they were very sweet together. He was very romantic with her. But she's like an old pair of slippers, very comfortable. But Nick needs to toss the slippers and stick with the fiesty, sexy and beautiful Phyllis. He seems to be happier since he's been with her. And I might add that he is a hunk in his own right.
I am getting so tired of Jack, Brad, Chloe, Billy, JR and Victor. They all have attitudes from h***! I see enough of that in the real life, I wan't to escape into the soap world. I think we all live vicariously through these characters. I would love to see more chemistry and heat, and better story lines.
I think Phyllis got what she deserves when she saw Nick and Sharon together. While it takes two to tango, and Nick is far from blameless, Phyllis did steal Sharon's man and has no right to be upset over someone stealing Nick. What goes around comes around! I would love to see Nick and Sharon back together.

Phyllis I am sorry for what happened to you. That was pretty messed up for what you saw needless to say in Paris of all places. I don't know if I would have walked the other way and turned the other cheek so to speak. Everything will work out for you. I don't think its right for Nick to always turn to Sharon when it comes to things with Noah. Your a wonderful mom of 2 kids on the show. With Daniel being older you do have some experience. I am sure you know where I am going with this. Sharon does turn to Nick for alot of things. Now they see alot of eachother with working at Newman & Noah. Phyllis it will all work out. I was just in Paris a month and a half ago and it is the most amazing city in the world! Im proud to say that my heritage is from this beautiful country.
The Louvre is gigantic, yes I still have to get through the entire Egyptian collection..and some others ;)
Berthillon is gorgeous!! I loved it. It is in the Latin, or near, Quarter (Cartier Latin) and you can get fabulous ice cream and sit by the Seine :)
I have one question though. Did Y n R recreate the Pere Lachaise cemetary? I went to see Jim's grave and it was a top a small hill with a huge cement block in front of it. The show portrayed the grave acurately, but the site not so much.
